Lost & Found Pets

My dog is missing. What should I do?

If you have lost your pet, please send us an email with a picture of the pet and some details about where and when the dog was last seen, age, gender, size, colour, name and any other info that will help someone identify your dog. We will post the pet on our Facebook page to help spread the word.

You should also contact the Faraday Municipal Pound to see if anyone has brought your dog there. Their contact info can be found on their website: www.municipaldogpound.com.

I found a stray dog. What should I do?

HART does not have a physical shelter and is not able to take in stray dogs on super short notice.

If you've found a dog in the Bancroft area and cannot find the owner, please contact the Faraday Municipal Dog Pound. You can either bring the dog there or the animal control worker will come and get the dog. Once a dog is at the pound, the pound will post the dog in the paper and try to locate the owner. If no owner is found, HART will be notified and work to accept the dog into our adoption program and get the dog vetted and into a loving foster home.
